Off/On addict here. This may seem off subject but it ties into the context of her giving testimony and I need to mention it. This woman is high as a kite. Ive abused opioids for several decades and in doing so, have an incredible sense to reckognize my own kind especially when all the signs are there (strained/hoarse voice, running sentences that start and stop randomly and lack fluidity, constricted pupils, etc). This was recorded during a time that people didnt associate street drugs with medical drugs and believed that because it came from a doctor/pharmacy, it's safe and totally different than heroin or other opiates sold on the street. The fact that she's under the influence while doing this is borderline blasphemous but the stigma back then probably convinced her she wasn't in the wrong.
